NERHP Joan Heaberlin is honored for the rapid development of her career in the applications of nuclear technology and engineering management. She is rising through the research administration ranks at the Battelle Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and her current title is Manager for Environmental Sciences and Systems Analysis. Dr. Heaberlin is responsible for 11 technical groups and over 400 multidiscipline technical staff within the Environmental Technology Division at Battelle. She has demonstrated her abilities and leadership across a wide range of technical disciplines including nuclear engineering, applied geology, ecological sciences, remote sensing, nuclear materials, safety and risk management, and environmental policy.
